This is my second Eureka 4700D vacuum. The first one, only 2 years old was unrepairable. The design is flawed at the beater bar. You can't clean the hair and thread from the bearing area. The bar ended up melting the plastic holder near the belt assembly. These are light weight and medium duty vacuums good enough for general household project. My wife likes it better than our other more powerful vacuum because its light and smaller.

The filtering system is easy to clean and the paper filters work well and last a long time. I noticed the hose that wraps on top of the handle gets stretched and begins to droop.
