I owned a Shark steamer mop which worked pretty well, but when I saw the Haan infomercial, it seemed like such a sturdier, larger mop and with the ability to steam my couches and mattresses, I decided I would "upgrade" and give the Shark to my mom. Was so excited when I got it that I tried it right away only to be extremely disappointed. It took forever to heat up, you couldn't even see the steam as they show on TV, the water had to be refilled very quickly and worst of all, it left my hardwood floors completely wet. My shark steamer was cheaper, ready to go in 15 seconds, you could hear and see the steam come out and it left my floors completely dry... only drawback was it was smaller so took a little longer to clean. Maybe my Haan is a defected one? Based on how it worked on my floors, I'm hesitant to try it on my mattress.
