I've had one of these for a couple of years, but only had occasion to use it 3 or 4 times. I think it works great for small jobs, when it works. I used mine exactly as directed, then stored it away in a closet for a year of so.

When I took it back out I found it leaks steam everywhere, and scalds my hands. Company (topinnovations-- makes many brands of these) says send it back (my expense) with a check for $22, and they will fix or replace it. I can find a new one on sale for $29, IF I dare buy another!

It turned out the plastic tube inside the unit had cracked apart, for no reason, while sitting in my linen closet. Tried to fix with super glue, but the repair did not hold up to the steam even for a minute. I just received my Enviro Steamer and at this point I'm just not that impressed.

The unit seems sturdy. The cord is just over 19 feet long (not 25 feet as stated on Eureka's website). I had to keep unplugging and replugging as I moved through the house. Since I couldn't leave it sitting on the floor when I did this, I either had to keep the tray with me, or hold it off the ground with one hand while replugging with the other.

My floor was not filthy, so I wasn't expecting miracles. I had read that people used this on laminate floors and it left it without the streaks left by swiffer type products. I used it on my laminate floors and it did leave streaks. I will try with distilled water to see if this makes any difference.

I also used on marble floors. I'm not sure what had been put on them by the previous owners, so I tested in a small area. It smeared the previous mop-n-glo type product and left it looking worse than before, so I will not use it here again.

Just got the H2O and had trouble. Unit didnt come with the screws needed to assemble the mop handle and base. A screw for top and bottom. No big deal, I have 21,ooo screws in garage. After assembly and soaking the filter in water,I pluged the h2o in and had no steam. I then found the water dispenser and filter suggests a tight fit. Dont be afraid to push hard when you apply the two into place on the unit.
This machine does an excellent job for what its meant to do.
The only draw back I have is the mop pads. I have wash rags thicker than the ones that come with the unit. Im not a algerba major but the price of extra pads is about $5.00 a pad.

I like the product, don't get me wrong. It gets the job done, especially for my room. I just don't like the fact that you have to buy batteries..pads...cleaning liquid...When will buying more "swiffer" products end? So I was on a budget and didn't really think mopping would be a resolution for a small room. I figured it'll just get things more messy so I settled for this. It's convenient because you can take it apart and store it in the corner. It's light enough to carry around from room to room. It leaves the floor feeling clean and smelling great.

The handle does fall apart a lot. The sweeper comes in a box the size of the sweeping mechanism on the bottom - 12-14"?? - so it's obvious right away that the "broomstick" is going to consist of several short lengths of pipe attached to each other. Unfortunately, only the pipe that attaches to the sweeping mechanism actually screws on. The other lengths are just supposed to fit into each other. Now, the instructions do say to push the segments together firmly before screwing the pole onto the base. I don't know if my daughters actually did this when they assembled the sweepers - I bought 3, one for each floor - but I added tape afterwards and it didn't really help. I haven't messed around with them that much or called in the cavalry (my husband) either, but I will say that while the handle is on, the sweeper does work better than I expected, better than a more expensive model by a different mfr that I tried in military billeting. It picks up well on the carpet, grabbing crumbs and dust, and it cleans out easily. You do have to be careful not to tip it - say, on the stairs - or stuff will come out, which is annoying. If they would make the handle in one piece or with screw-on segments , I would give it 4 stars, and if they added some spill protection I would give it 5. But I still haven't given up on the handle. If we come up with a fix I'll post again.

If you're looking for a whisk broom with a longer handle or have just a small area, then this would be great. The product seems fine. I, however, was looking for a full sized broom.

I already have this packed up to go back, so I can't take my tape measure to it, but the 9.3 inches width (in the description) must be the width of the dust pan. You can kinda extrapolate how wide the broom is since it fits inside the dust pan. And, as several people have mentioned, the handle is way too short for anything but a quick spot job.
